No, not young Superman. Instead, we’re talking about Conner Kent, a clone made from DNA from Superman and…another donor, whose identity is a massive spoiler if you don’t already know. This Superboy first appeared in the classic Reign of the Supermen story, as one of the four “replacements” who appeared in the wake of Superman’s death. The character has been mostly absent from DC Comics over the last few years, although he has recently made his way back into continuity, and is a regular in the new Young Justice comic book series. Titans fans got their first look at a shadowy, nude Superboy in the post-credits scene of the Titans season one finale, breaking out of a Cadmus lab and rescuing a certain canine friend. That’s clearly going to be a big thread in Titans season 2, as Joshua Orpin has just been cast as Conner Kent. He’ll be the first actor to play the role in live action.
